Hamlet Sewer Service

The Municipal District of Fairview No. 136 provides sewer service to the Hamlets of Bluesky and Whitelaw.

Flushing items other than toilet tissue can lead to sewer backups, sewer overflows and groundwater/surface water contamination, which can be harmful to human health and the environment. It can also damage wastewater infrastructure and treatment equipment and increase repair costs.

Please do your part to keep our wastewater systems running smoothly by avoiding flushing any of the below items:

Cat litter Cigarette butts Condoms Dental floss
Wipes (of any kind) Disposable gloves Feminine Products  Fish
Grease/Oil/Fats Hair  Napkins Pharmaceuticals
Tissues Cotton Balls/Pads Diapers Rags/Cloths

Sewer rates and fees are detailed in Schedule "H" of the Fees and Rates Bylaw. Utility bills are sent out at the beginning of every month to Hamlet residents. A penalty of 4.5% will be applied to the outstanding balance on the first day of each month.
