Payment Options

In-Person

Payments may be made in-person during business hours at the Municipal District of Fairview No. 136 Administration Office located at 10957 - 91 Avenue in the Town of Fairview, Alberta. Acceptable methods of payment include: 

  • Cash
  • Debit 
  • Cheque 
  • Visa or Mastercard (OptionPay - fees apply)

By Mail

To make a payment by mail, make a cheque (do not send cash) payable to "Municipal District of Fairview No. 136" and mail to:

Please ensure that the cheque is dated and signed, and record your roll number, customer number or invoice number on the cheque. If cheques not are received prior to the payment due date, a penalty for late payment will be imposed. 

The Municipality is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.  

Electronic Banking (Phone or Online)

Payments for utilities, accounts receivable invoices, and property taxes can be made most financial institutions in branch, online, or via telephone banking.

When setting up a payee, ensure that the correct vendor name is chosen from the list below:

Use the applicable utility account number (Utility Bill), customer number (Accounts Receivable Invoice), or tax roll number (Property Taxes) as the account number when making the payment.

By Dropbox

To make a payment by Dropbox outside of business hours, make a cheque (do not send cash) payable to "Municipal District of Fairview No. 136" and deliver to the Dropbox located at the main entrance to the Municipal Administration Office located at 10757-91 Avenue, Fairview, AB, T0H 1L0. 

Please ensure that the cheque is dated and signed, and record your roll number, customer number or invoice number on the cheque. If cheques are received prior to the payment due date, a penalty for late payment will be imposed. 

OptionPay

The Municipal District of Fairview No. 136 accepts accepting credit card payments through a third-party provided service called OptionPay. To make a payment through OptionPay, you will be required to pay a service fee, the amount of which is calculated based on the transaction amount. This service fee is paid directly to the service provider, not to the Municipality.
