The Department of Corporate Services and Finance is responsible for the overall financial management of the Municipal District of Fairview No. 136. The Director of Corporate Services and Finance, together with all other municipal employees, ensures full compliance with the Municipal Government Act and other applicable legislation. 

The Department of Corporate Services is responsible for 

  • Capital and operational budget development and management
  • Financial reporting
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Taxation/assessment
  • Cash receipting
  • Utility billing
  • Investment management
  • Fixed assets
  • Insurance coverage

Audited Financial Statements 

Further to the Municipal Government Act, the Municipal District of Fairview No. 136 is required to prepare an audited financial statement each year and submit to Alberta Municipal Affairs.
