Bylaw and Enforcement Services

Bylaw Enforcement

Bylaw enforcement is an important means of enhancing, preserving, and maintaining community standards. The Municipal District of Fairview No. 136 uses a combination of designated officers and independent contractors to provide bylaw enforcement services.

Enforcement services investigate and resolve complaints/inquiries, conduct routine preventive patrols, and when necessary, take remedial action or enforcement including warnings, tagging, and ticketing.

The Municipality prefers to work with residents towards voluntary compliance of its bylaws before resorting to enforcement actions, such as issuing tags or tickets, or seeking stronger solutions.

To report a concern or file a complaint, please contact the Administration Department by telephone at 780-835-4903 or by email.
