Notice of Election by Acclamation

At the close of the nomination period at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on September 22, 2025, the M.D. of Fairview No. 136 had accepted five (5) nominations for the office of councillor, one for each electoral division (ward).
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Election Act, if, 24 hours after the close of nominations, the number of candidates for an office is equal to the number of offices for which the election is held, the returning officer shall declare each of the candidates to be elected to the office for which they were nominated.
As of 12:00 p.m. on September 23, 2025, one nomination had been received for the office of Councillor for each electoral division (ward).
Returning Officer Tim Schindel has declared election by acclamation to the office of councillor for all wards of the Municipality.
