The MD of Fairview is hosting a Rural Crime Watch Info Session. Members of the public are welcome.

Corinna Williams, Chair of Northern Sunrise Rural Crime Watch Association, will present information about the Alberta Provincial Rural Crime Watch Association and how to form a rural crime watch group.
Rural crime rates remain high in Alberta, leaving communities on edge and overwhelmed. The Alberta Provincial Rural Crime Watch Association wants to help reduce crime in rural areas and to create a more thorough understanding and awareness of the law and best safety practices. We also help form a sense of community, as protecting Alberta’s rural areas is a collective responsibility. The Alberta Provincial Rural Crime Watch Association provides opportunities and resources for citizens to take action in protecting what’s most important to them. Together with local RCMP detachments, we create a strong awareness, expand law presence and help reduce crime.
