NOTICE OF ASSESSMENT ROLL

The Municipal District of Fairview No. 136

Property owners within the Municipal District of Fairview No. 136, take notice that property assessment notices have been mailed on March 20, 2024. 

Please note that assessment notices were mailed to property owners as registered at Alberta Land Titles Office as of February 29, 2024.  If you became an owner after that date, it is your responsibility to obtain a copy of the assessment notice by contacting the municipal office at 780.835.4903 or by e-mail taxes@mdfairview.ab.ca.

If you have concerns about the assessment of your property, you are encouraged to contact the municipal office, who will then direct your inquiry to our Assessor. Please provide accurate and current contact information to municipal staff. If you still feel your assessment does not reflect the property's value at July 1 of the previous year and its condition at December 31, you may file a complaint with the Assessment Review Board. Complaints along with the appropriate fee must be filed no later than 60 days after the notice of assessment date, May 27, 2024.

An Assessment Review Board may only hear complaints about specific assessment matters referred to in Section 460 of the Municipal Government Act. An Assessment Review Board does not hear complaints related to taxation.

2024 Property Tax Notices will be mailed out in late June 2024.
