Property owners within the Municipal District of Fairview #136, take notice that property taxes for the taxation year 2011 have been levied to your property. Combined Assessment and Tax Notices were mailed on June 28, 2011.
Please note that notices were mailed to property owners as registered at Alberta Land Titles Office as of May 31, 2011. If you became an owner after that date, it is your responsibility to obtain a copy of the Combined Assessment and Tax Notice. Copies may be obtained by contacting the municipal office.
Property tax payments are due on July 31, 2011. A 1% penalty will be applied monthly to any outstanding balances.
NOTE: The occurrence of a postal service strike DOES NOT affect any aspect of the annual tax levy. Tax Notices are deemed sent on the issuance date of June 28, 2011 and payment remains due on July 31, 2011. As per the Alberta Municipal Government ACT, this notice serves as sufficient notification of the property tax levy. It is the responsibility of property owners to obtain a copy of their Combined Assessment and Tax notices if they are not received in the mail. Copies can be obtained by contacting the municipal office during regular business hours.
